On Sept. 18th, Prof. Ouyang Kang, the president of the Institute of State Governance, HUST, officially signed a cooperation agreement with Mr. Li Ruohong, the chairman of China World Peace Foundation in Peace Museum in Beijing. Both sides would like to make joint efforts in theory research and practice of “pushing on the modernization of national management system and management ability” and planed to set up a research foundation only for “good governance around the world and state responsibility” with the aim of establishing a platform for state governance research. Top priorities were given to study problems below:
International governance, good governance around the world and their impacts to China.
New model of major power relationship needed by China’s peaceful development, especially the relationships among China, the United States, Japan, Russia and EU to explore the joint governance pivoting on China’s peaceful development with sound and healthy interactions among major powers.
China’s geopolitics and relationship governance with neighboring countries to explore the reasonable prospects on South and East China Sea issues
The new China’s opening-up strategy, strategy to build a “maritime power”, new Silk Road economic belt and new Maritime Silk Road
And two parts would conduct pilot works together on regional governance, the building and governance of countrysides, new urbanization, ecological cities and city clusters.
